How did GRGD 2024 impact your mission and what it meant for your organization?
Dream with us! If funds were unlimited what would you do?

If funding were limitless, we’d focus on expanding both our reach and our impact. We’d grow awareness of the Kenowa Hills Education Foundation so more people in our community understand what we do and how they can be part of it, whether by volunteering, donating, or simply spreading the word. We’d invest in building stronger connections with families, staff, and local partners to make the foundation a more visible and active part of the Kenowa Hills community. Most importantly, we’d increase the number and frequency of grants we award so we can say "yes" more often to the innovative, hands-on learning opportunities our educators dream up for students. One of the most powerful ways we’d do this is through storytelling. With the right resources, we could launch a high-impact communications campaign that shares the real stories behind our grants through videos, social media, student spotlights, and short documentaries. These wouldn’t just be updates; they’d be heartfelt, compelling narratives that show what’s possible when a teacher has the tools to dream big and when a student feels supported and inspired. A strong storytelling platform wouldn’t just build awareness. It would motivate people to act, give, and get involved in a cause that directly shapes the future of our schools and community.

How will your organization use the funds raised on grand rapids giving day?

We are aiming to raise $8,000 through Grand Rapids Giving Day 2025. This funding would allow us to double the amount of grant dollars we awarded last year, directly supporting innovative, hands-on learning experiences for Kenowa Hills students. Our teachers come up with many amazing and meaningful ways to enhance learning for students. Our goal is to support as many of those ideas as we can.The funds will go directly toward expanding our grant program, including funding higher-cost requests that might otherwise go unmet, especially as school budgets continue to tighten. But this isn't just about the money. We're excited to connect with other nonprofits, learn best practices, and expand awareness of our mission. We want more people to know who we are, what we do, and how they can get involved. This kind of growth and visibility is essential to the long-term sustainability of the Kenowa Hills Education Foundation.
