Kind Hearts Bloom

If funding were limitless, we would transform neighborhoods across Grand Rapids into vibrant, interconnected garden hubs—spaces that nourish not just bodies, but hearts and communities. We’d build a community greenhouse and education center, hire garden mentors and wellness facilitators, and provide free raised beds, tools, and seeds to anyone who wants to grow and give. We’d create youth programs that connect kids to the land, and a mobile garden truck that brings plants, produce, and joy directly to underserved areas. Our dream is a city where everyone grows, shares, and blooms together—no barriers, just belonging.

We’re aiming to raise $5,000 on Grand Rapids Giving Day to expand the educational reach of our Grow & Give program. With this funding, we will:- Support 5 new school or community garden partners with plants, soil, and educational resources- Create free garden learning kits for educators and community leaders- Host seasonal workshops to teach neighbors how to start front yard gardens and sharing stands- Provide ongoing mentorship to help new gardeners succeed and inspire community-wide participationThis investment will help us grow a more connected, sustainable, and generous Grand Rapids
