THE PLAYGROUNDgr plans to create a space in the downtown community in support of all play therapists, ensuring it is accessible to all. At this time, it is difficult to access play therapists due to the few in our community being off the bus line. Gifting them with a free space for weekly sessions in the downtown community on the busline would allow us to increase access.

THE PLAYGROUNDgr works will 200 people a week, and offers trainings and events for the community to grow their awareness and own tool box around play therapy. At this time we are a small team and need to grow our staff to match our needs. We are commited to our team making a living wage and a healthy work enviroment that supports them as a whole human. Upon dollars through Grand Rapids Giving Day we would use these dollars to increase our team, allowing for more training staff to be in our school and community programming each week. In addition, it would allow us to continue to provide free programming WEEKLY in the Boys and Girls Club, a program that is 100% donor funded through THE PLAYGROUNDgr.
